Next Thursday will be the opening of my exhibition at the Beyond the Valley gallery just off Carnaby St. Please do join me! Me and a few talented friends spent last weekend in the forest getting sunburt and taking photos. These images are just a few that I snapped, but more excellent ones were taken by my dear friend and awesome photographer Joanna Dudderidge, which I'll be excited to get my hands and eyes on very soon. I'm going to edit and illustrate over the top of the photos, and then create a small zine of some of my favourites...I'll be selling it in my shop as soon as it's finished!

Yesterday I paid a visit to Somerset House, to check out the 'Pick Me Up' contemporary illustration exhibition, which was smashing. Highlights included Evening Tweed , Rob Ryan's Studio, Peepshow's Print workshop, Le Gun's musical arsehole, It's nice that's cinema, and the new issue of Nowbrow Magazine...oh, it's lovely!

Hip Hip Hooray! I have finally combined forces with 4 others to create my Ultimate Super Studio Of Dreams at the Ilex Works in Stoke Newington. I'm rubbing shoulders with some lovely folks too, we have Richard Sanderson, Vicky Smith, Pete Locke, and Martin Wollerstam, definitely check them out. It's a real nice creative mix-up!

It feels so incredibly good to get out of my house (and pyjamas) to go to work. You may expect to see lots of new work on here very soon as my illutration juices are feeling incredibly juicy right now.

Not long now until my website will be finished too...I'll keep you posted.

HELLO!

I'm ever so excited as I've found a lovely studio right round the corner from my house in Stoke Newington. I've got one buddy to share the room with at the moment (Mr. Richard Sanderson) BUT we're looking for THREE more. The rent is really reasonable and the room will easily fit five...the picture above does not really do it much justice.

SO, if any of you are looking for a studio to share in N16 area, give me a shout, and come check it out! It will be such a brilliant creative funhouse once we get the space filled, next door we have the delightful talents of Hattie Newman, Rachel Lattimore, and Sarah Parker.

Here is a crappy photo of a drawing in progress that will be shown at the Plan 9 gallery, in Bristol, from the 13th of Nov till the 22nd. There are three drawings that are going to be exhibited, they all involved lots of colouring in. I've been having colouring in dreams ever since... Other artists involved are:

Adam Higton, Nadine Byrne, Jamie Bracken Lobb, Craig Dixon, Hakon Holm Olsen, Anouk Mercier, Andreas Samuelsson and Bristol Diving School.

I am participating in a show entitled 'Cloudy, Muddy, Messy, Mucky, Crystal Clear' in Brisbane over August. Unfortunately, I will not be able to shimmy over to the other side of the world to see it, but if anyone who looks at this blog happens to live in Brisbane, go check it out, it's being held at the Metro Arts Complex...here's the blurb:

"The exhibiton explores ritualistic mysticism, atavistic ideals, and personal mythologies in contemporary art. Now it is fairly useless to me, as no one really wants a print with naughty white stripes on...But, just in case anyone out there can see beyond the stripes, and would like to give this unwanted print a loving home, I will happily post it to you. Well, first off, big apologies for the recent laziness in updating my blog.

I'd like to blame it on something clever and interesting but the truth is that I've moved into a new house in London Taan, got overexcited and forgot entirely about things like blogs and the internet.

Here are a few photos from the start to finish of being a Visual Mountaineer for Fedrigoni Papers...(I stole most of them off Nicholas Saunders...I hope you don't mind Nick!) It was the private view last night, which went really well...There's some smashing work from all the illustrators on display for the rest of the month.
